Constance Leone is the name by which she passes in this world where she’s made herself quite at home. She holds a prestigious and high-paying job as the Curator of Egyptology at the Museum of Natural History, a job for which she’s highly qualified based on her true identity on the other side of the Gate. She also takes the occasional freelance job inspecting alleged ancient Egyptian artifacts to determine if they’re forgeries or the real deal. Her reputation for accuracy is unparalleled which means she’s sought out not only by legitimate institutions but also by those participating in the black market trade of antiquities. At least at first. When black market traders begin to disappear, or are found killed in rather gruesome ways, most forgers steer clear. Of course there are always the foolish few.
Constance loves fashion. She regularly wears Marchesa, Prada and Jimmy Choos. She is a stunning woman with a stream of admirers but has little interest in or use for human men unless, of course, they’re prepared to hand over their no-limit credit cards so she can go on a shopping spree….by herself.
Although her life in this world is humming along quite nicely, Constance is not entirely satisfied with it. There’s something missing, and she wants it back. Eddy has it, Alex knows about it, and Constance’s most important – and dangerous – agenda connects them. How far she’ll go to get it back remains to be seen.
